Feasting Friday (sincere trigger warning)

Warning: the topic of this emails is grotesque, but it is where my mind is at this weekend.

I spent 9 hours the last three days learning about Jeffery Epstein.

I don’t know if it’s pretentiousness or discernment, but I’ve been skeptical of most shares on the topic because I didn’t see evidence of strong epistemological rigor. We don’t give the devil his due when we’re sloppy with our imagination.

That’s changed; I’ve found some journalistic rigor and it’s blown open my reality tunnel.

The journalists:
1: Saagar Enjeti
2: Darryl Cooper

One of my sincerest desires is to understand the kind of competence required to stop a government from spending billions on bombs that incinerate children. My sincerity makes it easy to admit where I currently stand in regards to the metaphorical table these decisions are made from.

Before learning the facts of Epstein’s life, I thought the table was at the top of a skyscraper, and I was a peasant on the ground floor.

After learning the facts of Epstein’s life, I realize that, while there is a skyscraper delineating the levels of competence and coordination between where I currently stand and where geopolitical leaders play their governing games, there is a whole other level above them.

The image that comes to mind is the flying fortress where ‘The Red Room’ hides in the Marvel movie “Black Widow.”

The atmospheric citadel represents the power structure in our world that can protect a serial rapist who had more than 40 verified witness testimonies of his raping. The floating fortress represents the power structure that revealed itself in the attempted cover-ups of the Kincora Scandal and the Dutroux Affair.

We call this power structure ‘the intelligence’ community. What an unholy gaslighting phrase that little piece of code is. A more honest name would be ‘the perfidia community.’ Meaning treacherous or unfaithful, Roman literature used this term to describe oath-breakers, betrayers, or those who violate sacred agreements.

The facts of Epstein’s life reveals the contours of the perfidia community’s power in our current culture unlike anything else in our time.

I have a science fiction book brewing in me I intend to write in my later life. Threads of characters, settings, and pieces of plot have come through, but I haven’t had any clear intimations for the villain.

The villain defines the protagonist, and therefore defines the heart of the story.

I feel the whisper that studying Jeffery Epstein will both help me understand better the skyscraper, the floating citadel, and the villain that will shape my science fiction project.

When I get mythic, I see our culture as a once great king who now suffers from a combination of cancer and schizophrenia. The king is a complex character. He has done great things, but he has also allowed atrocities to be carried out in his name, and these have cracked his soul and broken his mind.

An illness has gotten into these cracks, and given the complexity of the world he plays in, killing him would result in the deaths of millions of innocent, maybe billions. The only path is for a doctor to emerge who can help heal him.

The healing will be terrible -- like a heroine addict taking Iboga; who then spends the next decade of his life atoning to those he transgressed during his addiction.

Our legal system is the King’s immune system. The rise of the power of the perfidia community standing outside the legal system is a kind of HIV. It severely damages the King’s immune system.

Jeffery Epstein, William McGrath, and Marc Dutroux are lethal viruses that grow out of the injured immune system.

The questions I'm contemplating:

  1. What is the virus that drives men to live a life centered on sexually assaulting hundreds of children?
  2. Why does the perfidia community protect these viruses?
  3. How does one liberate the King of these viruses without killing him?

Another way these questions have been asked in the past are:

  1. What is the nature of Evil -- specifically the drive to desecrate children?
  2. Why does it grow in communities built on dishonesty?
  3. What do we do with people who appear to be completely animated by Evil?

And what was it about Jeffery Epstein as an individual that allowed him to gorge on his unholy proclivities to such a savage extent that the aftermath of his mess might unravel the western world?

Maybe it's nothing. Maybe this is just hazardous research that'll help me write a deplorable villain into a story.

Maybe understanding the 'Jeffery Epstein construct' is the moral obligation of anyone committed to improve the world for the next generation.

I'll let ya know what I find out.

Quote I'm Enjoying

“We are all potential ‘shamans-in-training.’ We are being invited by the universe to step into our shamanic ‘garments’ and consciously participate in our own evolution. Instead of our ritual implements being solely limited to drums and rattles, however, as ‘modern-day shamans’ our accessories might be the keyboard of a computer or the microphone of a podcast, as we work to inspire change in the underlying consciousness of the field by a simple keystroke or the creative use of a video or website.”

What do you think Evil is? Can people be irredeemably evil?

“Which superhero would you be?” Normally, an innocent question, but not when Caitlyn Howe is asking me. Caitlyn is both my partner in entropy and mirror to my muse. I’ve learned that the more spontaneous her questions or intimations, the more likely she’s unknowingly musing on my soul’s behalf. Standing outside the Austin theater, having just finished James Gunn’s Superman, I found my mind blanking…I didn’t have an answer for her. This surprised me. I’m a big superhero guy. Let’s Talk About Entities One of the areas I feel most misunderstood by friends is the topic of entities. Specifically, entities they feel they have to ‘protect themselves’ from. I know a lot of people who invest a lot of time, attention, and money into practices, services, and products meant to clear, remove, or protect against entities. The result is a pantheon of techniques performed with quiet anxiety, like a friend who hand sanitizes every time they leave home. In the extreme, I’ve seen...

You’ve done good for a kid who came from a culture that ate their Elders. If you had living Elders leading your leaders, you would already know that the task of your life is to give birth to your Soul, and that what grows Soul is deliberate disobedience. You’d know that getting what we call a body is one of the most sought after experiences in the cosmos. You’d know that the Earth is a deity, our bodies her seeds, and planted in each of us is a sacred kind of plant we’ve come to call Soul....
