I'm starting my first dream class in a few days called Dreamwalkers Vol.1, and I've noticed I haven't said plainly why I think you should join. This email is that (and if you know it's not for you but want to see an example of selling like an artist, enjoy). There are 4 reasons you should join this class:
1. You're tired of forgettingDreams are a kind of oura ring for tracking how susceptible you are to falling sleep to the illusion of samsara. The average person spends 55 to 90% of their waking life lost in rumination. Rumination is repetitive, self-obsessed, negative thinking. The more we ruminate, the more likely we are to rate ourselves as depressed and anxious. Rumination, when translated through Buddhist eyes, is to forget our bodhisattva nature and believe the illusions presented by samsara. We all dream 4 to 6 times a night. Few of us remember even 1 of those. This is a measurement of our awareness. But even more profoundly, most of us never become lucid in our dreams. Apart from a magical stretch in college, I average about 1 lucid dream a month. I did the math, and if I was a baseball player, and becoming lucid was hitting the ball, my batting average would be .005% Out of 21,900 dreams, I noticed the Gods speaking 120 times. To the athlete in me, this inspires me. Training is called for. And it's a rabbit whole for another time, but in certain Buddhist linages, lucid dreaming is known part of the path to awakening in this life. It's not a side quest, it is a part of The Path. We in the west have not only forgotten this, we actively dismiss it. 2. You want a direct living relationship with God beyond doubtIn Jung's own words, the path to this gnosis comes from placing your dreams and visions at the center of your life. Also in Jung's own words; to know God like this is terrifying; and worth it. This is what we'll be doing in Dreamwalker Vol.1 3. You know you waste time and energy hesitating before you actThe majority of questions I've heard as a teacher the last 7 years are questions best answered by doing anything and seeing what happens. But people hesitate because somewhere deep in themselves they're afraid they're going to irreversibly fuck something up. This is confusion. One of the coolest aspects of cultivating a direct relationship with your Dreamer is you establish a relationship with a multi-million year old super intelligence that knows you better than you know yourself, that is completely devoted to helping you become what you could be. It will comment on your choices. It will advise you, direct you, and course correct you. By the end of this 31 night container, you will know this as truth. 4. You can feel our culture is sick and want to do something to helpAnd finally, the real reason you should join this class is because you know something is profoundly sick about our culture. Our dreams are connected to the soul of humanity. Learn to track your dreams and you will learn to speak the language of humanity's soul, which is myth, symbol, and image. It will only be with new myths, symbols, and images that we will alchemize the thousand ills corroding our culture. If you want to lead a soul-powered business, your dreams will help you. If you want to create soul-powered art, your dreams will help you. If you want to help change the world, MLK showed us that it begins with having and sharing a dream. Dreamwalkers Vol.1 starts Jan 27th. Join us and meet the other weridos, artists, and dreamers. Song I'm Listening on RepeatDharma Artist HighlightCaitlyn and I watched Kwame Onwuachi's episode of Chef's Table, Season 7, and both cried multiple times. Chef's Table as a whole a great example of what a dharma artist looks like. The essence of a Dharma Artist, in my opinion, is someone who has surrendered to the call of mastering their craft to such a level of excellence that they get to 'put their soul into culture.' If anything about that is unclear, watch this episode. Quote I'm Enjoying"What the East has to give us should be merely a help in a work which we still have to do. Of what use to us in the wisdom of the Upanishads or the insights of Chinese yoga if we abandon the foundations of our own culture as though they were outlived errors and, like homeless pirates, settle with thievish intent on foreign shores?" Weekly Journal PromptIf dreams are messages from the Gods, wouldn't the Gods want you to notice when they're talking to you? |
Every week, I bring the best of what I've gathered. Enjoy the feast.
She slipped. Concrete sheered skin as gravity pulled her down the bank into the artificial river. After her body stopped bouncing off pavement, the pain kept her awake. She was lucid, and frozen; terrified and confused. The swelling concussion left her without context. But she could sense the water rushing. If not for him, she would have died. She felt his strong hands gathering her from the water. In a way she couldn't make sense of, she knew strangers were gathering, hand in hand, to form a...
Housekeeping: DEVA School closes Monday at midnight. If you want to learn the greatest hits of how I've made more than $800,000 in 3 years selling like an artist, this is where I teach those skills. -- -- -- As I write this, I'm sitting in what was once a cattle barn. It's now an event space with air conditioning. The walls are covered with psychedelic art. The wood beams that support those walls have absorbed thousands of people's prayers and purges. I'm here because I'm hosting an event for...
Welcome to another feasting friday. I just finished writing As We Go Through Trying Times. Give it a peep. Happy Spring Equinox. Song I'm Listening on Repeat As you might expect, the song I've been listening to is James Blake's Trying Times. So delicious, so good. Podcast I've Been Enjoying I've been getting very interested in Remote Viewing and am surprised how much good evidence for it exists. This is something you will be hearing more of from me in the weeks and months to come. The current...
